I was just watching this episode last night. Makes me laugh out loud every time. Despite it being 8 years later, Friends will never get old to those of us who love it. It provides the best entertainment I could ask for. Dance on, Chandler Bing.

I watched the movie Bridesmaids with my roommate last night and I knew there had to be some sort of gif about it. The movie had me laughing until I cried so I thought I would use it as my classwork today too :)
Although I hate to admit that I was one of the 10.5 million people that watched the most recent Kardashian nuptials, I was. And I was blown away by the extremity of it all. It was so beyond average that it’s not even funny. I will admit though, as obnoxious as the large rock on Kim’s finger is and the 3 custom-made were, every girl had to be a tad jealous. Especially when you look at these numbers :)

This is one of my favorite fonts because I think that when most people look at it, they recognize it as the Disney font. I think that it is one of those fonts that carries a certain emotion with it. It could be excitement for some, happiness for others. It is usually a positive emotion and it’s the type of font that sticks out on paper or on a computer or wherever it may be.
This is one of my favorite magazine covers because the color is so eye catching! The designer used tri-colors and they are very visually attractive. These type of designs make me want to be as creative with color as this person was.
Originally when I decided on a theme, I chose a simple, one color background because it was my favorite color. When we talked about Tumblr in class, I thought about what my tumblr said about me. It said nothing before. Now, it says that I’m the type of person who likes happy things. My theme emotes happiness, at least in my eyes. When I see naturally beautiful things, I think that is when I’m my happiest. Happiness is the most beautiful thing in the world.
This short chapter was helpful already because it taught the very basic of the basic. For those of us who have no design experience, but will need it in the future, the basics are the first step. Contrast, Repetition, Alignment and Proximity are words that will guide us through the learning process in this class and hopefully land us in a place where we feel comfortable designing and using our own creativity to create something beautiful.
